A SMOOTH SEA NEVER MADE A SKILLED SAILOR

Sieu Chung Ky – It is very difficult for people to resist the pleasures of life. Sometimes we just want to lie on the cabin to enjoy the beauty of the ocean.

Suddenly, this wonderful moment is broken by a terrible storm that brings about rapid waves. The boat is at risk of sinking. What will you do?

Franklin D. Roosevelt, the 32nd President of the United States who was also a sailor, said: “a smooth sea never made a skilled sailor”. If you have the skills and experience of a skilled sailor, this definitely will be a problem. But in case you are not prepared for unexpected situations, you may share the same fate on the seafloor.

In order to overcome the pressure from project progress, Sieu Chung Ky (SCK) people know how to apply the skills and experience that have been tempered over the years.

They continuously exchange with colleagues and leaders to agree on a reasonable construction plan, and at the same time adapt to difficult working conditions, long-distance work or overtime late at night. From offices, factories to construction sites, all always strive to perfect products as committed.

The difficulties have created for them the opportunity to dedicate, train their bravery and contribute to building quality works. Regardless, everyone grows up from difficulties. We not only mature after each fall, but we also grow out of growth. This process helps us to develop awareness and thinking when faced with challenges.

We cannot indulge in enjoying calm sea days but need to actively learn and cultivate experiences to be ready to cope when the sea arouses waves. As Bruce once shared: “Do not pray for an easy life; pray for the strength to endure a difficult one”.
